Natures Miracle contains an enzyme that breaks down urine to get rid of the smell. And if you have little boys (3-5ish, before they get to old to look in on) in the house, ban standing if you find wet spots where they don't belong. Tell them that standing to pee is a privelege that they have to earn and can be taken away, they will soon be more careful.|||it could be in the subflooring from old urine.. you might have to check to see if there is dry rot around your toilet.. and it might have to be replaced.|||You may need to replace the wax ring under your toilet. What is the average cost of remodeling a bathroom?
The bath room is about 6x12. There was titlng place half way up the walls(the floor was not done. The rest of the walls were painted by the contractors), a new toilet, a new bathtub with sliding glass doors, a messager head for the shower, a new cabinet with 4 lights with it, a fan in the bathroom with a way for air to ciruclate out(with a light attached to the fan, a towel rack, a metal toilet paper dispencer and a metal robe hook placed on the bathroom door. That what was done. I do realise that it is difficult to estimated when there are other factors un-answered, but please give me a ball park estimate. I believe the current contractors are charging way too much money for a relativly simple project.|||$4-6 thousand.|||$5,000 is about the minimum to have complete bathroom renovation done by a professional.

My bathroom walls have a build up of hairspray, soapscum and mold. I have used Pine Sol. That helped for a while. Do you know a cheap, safe method that won't strip the paint, but will leave my walls looking as good as new? And no, I don't want to repaint!|||TSP is the best thing I have found to clean painted walls. If it is cheap paint, you may have to touch up some spots. But, anything that will clean a wall will take off cheap paint. You can buy TSP at Lowe's or Home Depot or any store like that. TSP is very inexpensive.

How do you keep your bathroom walls from getting moldy?
Our bathroom was redone fairly recently (within the last 5 years) and the ceiling and tops of the walls are spotted with mold! Ewww! I don't recall that happening before, at least not to this degree. How can I get rid of it? And how can I prevent it? Is there a certain paint or a certain type of drywall that prevents this sort of thing from happening?|||Bleach will remove it and deter it coming back. Next time you repaint use a special bathroom paint. If possible install an extractor fan and ventilate, ventilate, ventilate.|||First, place vinegar in a spray bottle and spray directly on the mold. Wait a few minutes and then wipe off- the mold should wipe off with it. I chose vinegar because it is non-toxic, cheaper, and is not harsh like bleach (meaning your clothes will not suffer from bleach stains). Lowe's Home Improvement store will assist you in finding a fungicidal/mold resistant paint. This paint can be clear or colored. If you have an exhaust fan, it will remove excess humidity thus preventing mold. Ventilation is crucial so that mold will not have the ability to grow (also, shorter and cooler showers).|||Clean it with a product first and then from now on - whenever you take a shower, etc Dry The Walls. All that water? It wears them down, water always erodes. My family invested in a "Squegee" you can purchase all sizes of these at Lowes, Home Depot, etc and squegee the excess water off your tiles.|||There is a special product that you can buy that you spray on you wall to get rid of the mold. You can buy it at Lowes, Menards, or Home Depot.|||A 50/50 mixture of bleach and water will kill and remove existing mold. You need more airflow in this room. Moisture breeds mold.
How do you unlock a bathroom door from the outside?
I accidentally locked my bathroom door from the inside. It is one of those doorknobs with the little hole in the middle and on the inside you turn it to lock it.
I've tried using the ink tube from a pen and a safety pin but neither have worked. Help!|||Wire clothes hanger. Straighten it out and inset barely into the hole in the door. Lift the end so that the point now slightly points down. Slowly push the hangar into the knob and you will feel the release pin. Apply slow pressure and turn the knob as soon as you feel it depress. If this does not work, Look at the knob... Are the screws available on our side? Unscrew the door knob, remove your side and place a straight slit screw driver in there and turn. This will release the door as well. If this does not work, look at the door jamb... Are the hinges available for you to get at? Use a Phillips head screwdriver and a hammer to tap them out from the bottom. Once all two or three are removed you can open the door from this side.
Hope this helps. The coat hanger is your best bet. You may want to clip the end flat with tin snips if you have them, but t will work.|||Welp took longer to bend the hangar than open the door - elapsed time from search on Yahoo approx. 20 min. Good Answer.

Insert a flat bladed screwdriver and feel for a slot in the end of the stem. Turn it (I forget which way, but there's only 2 possibilities!) and you are in.
If you have a small jeweler's screwdriver, of even one from an eyeglass repair kit, those should work.|||slip a flexible card like an ID or drivers license between the door and the jam exactly where the bolt for the door is. You may have to jiggle it a little to get it in there but the bolt on the door is angled towards you and the card will depress the bolt. Good luck.|||My granddaughter locks the bathroom door as she leaves the room all the time! Crazy, she's only five. Anyway, we just use a round toothpick and poke it in there just right and the lock pops right out. After a little practice, you'll be getting done on the first try. Good luck.
