How to deal with your PERIOD in a house of GUYS?? 10 POINTS ANYONE?

I live with all 5 of my brothers (yes I know) I'm 16 they're 16 (twins), 19, 21, 25, and 30 (DROP OUTS!!) they always getin in trouble for fighting. My dad kicked us out and made us stay with the 30 yearold. I still attend school I'm a Jr. YAAY!!!! they are really rough and still want me to be there little baby sister tho.





BUT TO THE QUESTION, The first time that I got my period I didn't tell anyone but my friend Angela to this day i never talked about it with my brothers how would i even do it? She lets me stay over her house when it comes. BUT SHES MOVING AHHHHH!!!! I can't keep hiding it from them because they keep asking my y I leave for a week and a half like they don't know. And I don't wanna have to. But I don't know what would happen if anyone of them found a tampon!!!! And wen they take out the trash the smell would probably get confused. I get really really bad cramps and I just wanna go to sleep but they always wanna wrestle and play basketball which I never even wanna do! When I get home they all come and tackle me then hold me down and tickle me untill I almost pass out lol. But with my mood swings, I might cuss someone out haha.





Advise? I need it!





P.S. when I'm using the bathroom they bust in and spray my with water guns, can you imagine if I was putting in a tampon and that happened????? Wanna switch lives!?!!|||Do you not have a lock on the bathroom door?





I'd talk to your oldest brother and just say that a the only girl in the house you'd like a bit of privacy and could you get a lock on you're bedroom and bathroom door and although you enjoy spending time with your brothers you are growing up and you can't still be treated like a little girl all the time. Just say you sometimes need your own space.





You don't need to actually say "I've got my periods and I get really bad cramps etc..." They will probably know you must have started by now so if you're a little moody they probably will expect it. As for the trash thing and the finding them thing, I'd hide them somewhere secret and double bag them when putting them in the trash. If they find one in your drawers or something they will also probably expect it as well. But if you ask about the privacy and lock thing then they won't just walk in on you or look through your room.





At your age they really shouldn't just be barging in on you!|||It's Ur life not theirs .....guys don't mind about their sisters periods....just do what u have to do....its nothinfg out of the ordinal....|||rainbow kiss!!! mmm|||Lock the bathroom door when you use it, and when they start to wrestle tell them to stop. Wrap your pads/tampons in toilet paper and then toss them in the trash and spray with air freshner.





If they still keep bothering you, tell them that you're on your period and if they don't stop you'll bleed on everything they own. :P|||They won't ever find a tampon if you just wrap it up in toilet paper. It's not like they are going to look for it in the trash. You could just be responsible of taking out the bathroom trash if you're too paranoid about it. And it's not like they smell really bad. Once the tampon is used, you can just flush it down the toilet. Then they wouldn't see it. And just ignore them when you have cramps. OR just tell them. They really don't care, they do understand. Chances are, they have all had a girlfriend before. And lock the bathroom door, and tell them to grow up already.|||Um, youre a Junior. Not a 7th grader. I think they assumed youve gotten your period already, the just dont really mind to it much.


Obviously, its really nothing you need to go tell them about. They proabably wont care and already assume youve gotten being as youre almost done with high school. Youre almost an adult, you dont escape to a freinds house when that time of the month comes. Just buy yourself your supplies, hide it in a safe place in your room and when you use the bathroom, lock the door. And wrap your used supplies in tolet paper and stash it at the botttom of the garbage. C'mon|||first of all, lock the bathroom door when you're in there.


you might want to get a lock for your bedroom too, just for privacy. Then hide the tampons under your bed, on a high shelf in your closet, or in the back of a drawer somewhere.|||I would lock the door, and if there isn't a lock on the door tell them that if they want to see you pulling out a tampon then come on in other wise leave you the hell alone! I don't say this to be mean to you either, that's horrible of them! You don't have to tell them you have your period either, if you are able to buy tampons on your own then do that and I mean there really isn't anything you need to say to them. If they see tampons in the trash so what? You're a girl and it's perfectly natural, you don't have anything to be ashamed of! They'll get over it. Good luck!|||I use the Divacup cause it's like using tampons BUT you don't have anything to throw away. You just wash it and use it again. That way there's no evidence in the trash can. :D



Also, these guys are your brothers. They came out of the same uterus as you, right? So you should be able to tell them "GUYS! I am a GIRL and I have GIRL issues. If you barge into my room or the bathroom you might see BLOOD and TAMPONS. So if you don't want to traumatized for life, give me some damn privacy."

Gross them out enough and they might just respect your space. After all, a lot of guys are pretty terrified of periods so they'll leave you alone about it.
